No Essay Scholarships

It’s been a few months, but I’ve finally found a solid application for ya’ll. This one comes to us from Career Scholarship Guide. These folks are a private company so they don’t limit the application to certain types of people. For example, a charitable foundation will often give an award to a specific subset of people like military veterans, Native Americans, or teenage stamp collectors. That’s not happening here. Pretty much anybody over 17 can sign up for this one.

Take a second to think about how much ten thousand dollars is. At an in-state college that will cover nearly a year of tuition. The award may be disbursed as a cash payment to you (not sure), rather than the school. In that case you could use the money as a sizable down payment on a car. Or buy like seven macbooks.

There’s no deadline listed publicly on the site, but just to be safe I would apply by September 30th.

This one is a big deal, folks. If you’re chosen, you essentially get a full ride to any state school. And if you’re paying much more than 50 grand for a degree, then you’re probably paying too much anyway. You read that correctly. The award amount is $50,000. That’s a five with four zeros. Now I know this isn’t an infomercial, but I have to say “Wait, there’s more!”

The payout is cash, so you can use the winnings to pay rent, buy food, or purchase a small piece of property if you don’t need the money for college.

I’d like to take this chance to thank my own mother for getting a college degree. She worked her way through school so my brothers and I wouldn’t have to. I can’t imagine the stamina it must have taken to waitress 5 nights a week and still make decent grades. That’s one hot mama!

This award is for all the fathers out there that want to go back to school. It’s good for community college or a standard 4-year university. The award amount is $10,000. The deadline is June 15th.

College is the doorway to an extensive number of opportunities.  Students determine what they want to do with the rest of their lives depending on what they do in college.  Not only does college provide an academic atmosphere, but it fosters an environment for social interaction with people of many different backgrounds.  Furthermore, universities provide the resources for students to engage in a number of communal activities that benefit society and the environment, including recycling projects, river clean-ups, and spreading global warming awareness.  This makes them an invaluable step to working towards both personal and societal well-being later in life.

DegreeSpark is a free service that automatically connects students with appropriate institutions. Signing up doesn’t guarantee you a scholarship outright, but many schools do offer them to students that demonstrate need or aptitude. I personally received a scholarship to a private university in Texas that made the cost comparable to a state school.

Even if the job market looks bad now, degrees are crucial for high paying comfortable jobs. When you apply to DegreeSpark, make sure you specifically mention scholarships to the representative.

This scholarship is pretty basic. You’re just asked to fill out simple contact info and page through some info about colleges that are a good fit for you. All in all, it’s definitely worth the five minutes. The award amount is ten grand. That will cover almost a year of tuition if you go to a state school, which you really should unless you’re getting financial aid from somewhere else.

You gotta be 18 for this one, but that’s fine. It leaves the door open for graduating seniors and people already at a university. This is nice because you don’t have to compete with all the riff raff in the lower grades. The previous winnners, featured in the image below are of different ages, but all made good use of the $10,000.

At ease, soldier. You’ve put work in for Uncle Sam and now it’s time to get what’s coming to you: A $10,000 scholarship. This is totally separate from GI benefits which are nice, but sometimes fall short. This award is given by a private company, but they are accredited with the Better Business Bureau so you know it’s legit. The first screen looks super easy to fill out. This application could be an important step in transitioning to a serious civilian career. Many companies look highly upon military service because it shows discipline and leadership.

Take note: You can still apply if you’re not in the military. It helps to have a family member who has served, though.

This offer is easy to get started on. All that’s required is a zip code. It’s important to note that this offer is only for students who are at least 18. Therefore, this post is geared toward college students and high school seniors. When I was in the 12th grade, I wasted a bunch of time watching TV and playing video games. I can’t believe that I wasted that resource when I could have been applying to these super easy offers. So seriously, go fill this one out. Your future self will appreciate it.
